STOVE & OVEN ISSUES

DOES NOT TURN ON

If an electric stove doesn’t turn on, ensure the appliance power cord is plugged in and if all circuit breakers are on. You will want to check the pilot light on gas models. If the stove is plugged in and the pilot light is on in the oven, that means another part of the appliance will have to be replaced. The reason for the issue could be the surface element, infinite switch, oven burner igniter or bake and broil element.

BURNER WILL NOT HEAT

A stove or burner without produce heat won’t do much good. An oven won’t heat if there is a broken bake element or oven sensor. A burner will not heat if an element is broken or the burner switch or the terminal block don’t work. We are able to repair these common issues in no more than 1-2 hours after our arrival.

PROGRAM ISSUES

You can assume the control panel on a stove is broken if the timer or program functions do not work. If that is the case, we are able to repair control boards on LG, Sears, GE, Kenmore, KitchenAid and most other brands of stoves, ovens and ranges. We provide a warranty on control boards and the replacement parts we use for this type of oven repair service.

OVEN TEMPERATURE IS VERY HOT

You always need a hot oven. Just not too hot! When the oven heat is out of control, it could be due to a broken sensor or thermostat. Our appliance repairmen are able to find the reason for the issue and then fix it. But be careful when troubleshooting this problem for fear of body burns from the high and totally unpredictable heat.

IGNITER WON’T LIGHT

A reoccurring stove issue is that an igniter will glow but does not light. The reason this occurs is sometimes from a broken electronic control, surface igniter, safety valve or temperature sensor. We determine if we are able to fix these parts or if we will need to replace the parts.

DOOR WILL NOT OPEN

New self-cleaning ovens are known to experience door issues often. The door does not open after the oven cleans itself. We inspect the door closure, seal and thermostat to identify why the door won’t open and then complete the repair in order to put an end to the problem.
